This November, we want to endorse local school board candidates who will promote Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Justice programming in schools to help our children compete in a 21st century economy and support reasonable common sense Covid protocols that will keep our students safe.

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Justice Education

Diversity is difference between people, things, and experiences.

Equity refers to a practice where people receive the resources that they need to participate in society.

Inclusion is the practice of valuing the unique experiences and qualities people have to offer.

Justice refers to a goal or vision for social change and requires a strategy to redress the unfair treatment of groups.

Comprehensive Sex Education that includes LGBTQ studies

Our youth deserves an education that empowers them to make healthy, informed decisions about their relationships and their bodies.

There is abundant evidence that comprehensive sex education is effective at reducing high-risk sexual behaviors, promoting safer sex practices, and preventing pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections.

Meanwhile, no abstinence-only programs have been proven effective at achieving those results or at significantly delaying sexual activity—their intended purpose.
